• How old do I need to be to hire a vehicle?
  The minimum age for hiring a vehicle is 21. The maximum age is 75. A young driver supplement is applicable for all drivers aged 21-24.
• How long do I need to have held my licence for?
  You need to have held your full driving licence for a minimum of 2 years to be able to hire a vehicle from Ashford Orbital. Kia.
• Am I allowed to travel outside the UK?
  Our vehicles are not permitted to be taken beyond the UK mainland.
• What happens if I break down whilst in your hire vehicle?
  All our hire vehicles come with 24 hour breakdown cover. Should your rental vehicle breakdown whilst you have it on hire, please contact Kia Roadside Assistance on 0800 015 8762.
• Can anybody drive the rental vehicle I have rented?
  Only the hirer is permitted to drive the vehicle. Additional drivers can be added onto the insurance at an extra cost providing they meet the Ashford Orbital Kia driver qualification.
• How do I pay for my rental vehicle?
  All rentals must be paid for before the vehicle can be taken. This must be by debit or credit card in the hirer's name.
• What ID documentation do I need to rent a vehicle?
  You'll need all of the following:
  - a valid UK driving licence
  - a valid passport
  - a DVLA code
  - 2 x proofs of address, this must be bank statements or utility bills dated within the last 3 months.
• I'm visiting from abroad and don't have UK documentation, can I still rent?
  Yes, however conditions apply - you will need to bring your driving licence, passport, proof of hotel or other accommodation for the period of your stay, return travel details and you must collect and return to this Ashford Orbital Kia Rental branch. For full details please speak to our Rental Advisor.
• Is there an insurance excess?
  Yes. The standard excess is £1,000. You have the option to reduce this to £500 for a fee of £10 per day.
• Do I need to leave a deposit?
  Yes. The amount is dependent on the vehicle you are hiring.
• Who has liability for the vehicle?
  You, as the Hirer, have full liability for the vehicle. Whilst you have the vehicle on hire, you are liable for any speeding, parking or other road traffic offences. This list is not exhaustive.
• Am I allowed to put my pet in the vehicle?
  We are sorry, we are unable to allow pets in rental vehicles, except for guide dogs and registered support animals.
• What happens if I am running late returning the vehicle?
  We allow an hour's grace period, however, anything over this will incur a full day's charge.
• What happens if I need to keep the vehicle for longer?
  Please contact us to discuss an extension of the hire - it will be dependent on availability.
• Do I need to pay for fuel?
  Fuel is on a like for like basis, therefore you will need to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel you took it out on. If you return your rental vehicle without the correct amount of fuel, we will re-fuel the vehicle to the correct amount and you will be charged at that day's pump price, plus a 25% surcharge.
• Am I allowed to smoke in the vehicle?
  Smoking and vaping is prohibited in all of our rental vehicles
